C.Y. O’Connor Institute in Northam welcomed fourteen new students to their campus for a two-day workshop on 18 & 19 May, 2011. The group has started work on either a Certificate III or IV in Education Support – a National Course for Education Assistants.

“The workshop was the first of a series which will be conducted over a period of two years,” said lecturer Grace Dunstan. “The group consists of Aboriginal and Islander Education Officers (AIEOs), all of whom are currently working in schools around the Wheatbelt. Some already hold a qualification - most have years of experience.”
