C.Y. O’Connor Institute Moora campus, in co-ordination with the Moora Shire, Moore Catchment Council and St Joseph and Moora Primary Schools, were significant contributors to the town’s annual Tree Day on Friday 29 July 2011.

The Moora Shire purchased over 2500 trees and seedlings from the Institutes’ Salmon Gums Community Nursery with the planting occurring at the West End Historic Settlement, and near the Wheat Bin Road development.
