They are required to develop specific practices to ensure the implementation of management systems, plans and policies. LGA50404 Diploma of Local Government (Operational Works)

This qualification will provide you with the practical skills and knowledge to perform tasks involving a high level of autonomy and requiring the application of significant judgement in planning and determining the selection of equipment, roles and techniques for themselves and others. You will learn skills to develop site specific work instructions, operational plans, policies and procedures, promote and facilitate organisational performance, budget finances, devise and conduct community consultations, provide team leadership, prepare preliminary design for operational works and detailed works project documentation. You will also be able to specialise in areas of Local Government such as Civil Construction and Operations.
 

LGA40704 Certificate IV in Local Government (Planning)

This course will provide you with the skills and knowledge to work effectively in Local Government. Graduates will gain the skills and knowledge to operate effectively in the regulatory service roles within local Government, including Rangers and Parking Officers.
